It is more engaging also. This is also based on the real incident,” he told us.

Gokhale further revealed that Raid 2 shooting is currently underway but the team is planning to wrap it up by this month’s end. “We have almost finished the film. Around 75 per cent shooting has been done. We should wrap up the shoot for this film by the end of May,” he added.

Raid 2 is not Ashish Gokhale’s first film with Ajay Devgn. The two have previously worked together in Bholaa and the recently released, Shaitaan. Talking about the same, the actor praised Devgn and called him a humble and kind person.

“I did Bholaa with him. He was so friendly from day one. He is very down-to-earth and a humble guy. When I did Bholaa, I never thought that I would be able to work with him for another two films but yes, I always thought ‘Koi aur accha karne ko mile inke saath toh maza aaega (if I ever get another chance to work with him, it will be good) ‘. He is my idol, my guru. But yes, he maintains a friendly atmosphere all around,” he said.

Raid 2 will hit theatres on November 15, 2024.
