Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky matched Tom Ford outfits for the Met Gala 2024 event.

The highly anticipated 2024 Met Gala is here with A-lister celebrities and top names in business and arts attending the event in their finery. The dress code for this year was “The Garden of Time”. Actor Chris Hemsworth, who served as the co-chair of the fundraiser, attended the gala with his wife Elsa Pataky, a Spanish model and actress. At the fashion’s biggest event, the couple looked stunning as they matched Tom Ford outfits.

Chris Hemsworth looked like a modern-day Prince Charming in a beige Tom Ford suit with a white button-down underneath. He paired his suit with black square-toe boots and completed the look by accessorising with a two-toned watch and silver rings. The Thor star counted on his natural beauty as he kept the hairstyle and accessories to the minimum. Pataky complemented Hemsworth’s look in a long-sleeved gold viscose turtleneck dress paired with simple golden heels. Her dress sleeves were cuffed with bold golden bands. The model styled her blonde tresses into a long braid and wore a golden headpiece.

While speaking to Vogue, Peter Hawkings, the recently appointed creative director of Tom Ford said, “I’m so happy to dress Chris and Elsa in complimentary Tom Ford looks on the red carpet. They both embody the ethos I am creating at Tom Ford of sensuality, confidence, and cool and wear their looks with ease and allure.”

Chris Hemsworth co-chaired the Met Gala alongside pop star Bad Bunny, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and actress Zendaya. While speaking to E! from the Met Gala red carpet, Hemsworth said that he was informed about the co-chairing when Anna Wintour called him in February. On the call, Anna Wintour made a joke about his style as she pointed to his first-ever red carpet look during which he wore flip-flops.

The Australian actor added that he did not know much about the Met Gala before he was assigned the co-chair position. While many celebrities like Zendaya, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively and others have attended multiple Met Gala dinners over the years, this was Hemsworth’s first-ever Met Gala.

The Met Gala is a fundraiser event for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA. It acts as the primary source of funding for the museum’s annual exhibitions and other operations. The gala first started in December 1948. After 1995, its date switched from December to the “first Monday in May”.
