Prithviraj will once again share the screen space with Prabhas in Salaar 2.

Prithviraj Sukumaran is super excited about starting the shoot for Prabhas starrer Salaar 2. The actor also drops hint about the film’s release date.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is currently gearing up for the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, has shared a big update about Prashanth Neel’s Salaar: Part II, which had Prabhas in a leading role. Prithvi played the role of an antagonist in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire which revolves around the story of two friends who end up becoming enemies.

The shoot for the second part is all set to commence in the next few days. “Prashanth has got a very efficient, really packed shooting plan in place,” Prithviraj told Variety in an interview. “I will take time off between ‘Empuraan’ to go and finish a few sequences of ‘Salaar 2,’ but I am assuming definitely in 2025 it is releasing for sure. But when and how it’s up to Prashanth and (producers) Hombale Films,” Sukumaran added.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Prithviraj revealed that he initially wanted to turn down the script of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan due to scheduling conflict. But it was Prashanth who convinced him to do the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film, which stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.

“While shooting for the climax of Salaar, I was talking to Prashanth about this nice and wonderful script that Ali Abbas Zafar narrated to me. I told him that I’ve been offered a role in the film but I won’t be able to do it because of date issues,” he recalled.

What followed next was Prashanth’s constant insistence that finally nudged him to rethink his decision. “I spoke to Prashanth for about 20 minutes about the film and the script. That’s when he told me that it really looks like I want to do it. He said, ‘Knowing you, if you really let it go, you’ll feel rotten.’ And he was absolutely right. If I wasn’t a part of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, I would’ve been kicking myself after watching it,” he told us.
