Tamil actor Kavin is currently making headlines for his upcoming movie Star. He has managed to establish himself as a sought-after actor. Meanwhile, work on his next film, tentatively titled Kavin 07, has begun.

According to the latest reports, Andrea Jeremiah has been roped in to play the female lead in the film. Although an official announcement is awaited, the reports suggest that she will be playing a female gangster in Kavin 07. The movie is directed by Vikranan Ashokan, who has earlier worked as an assistant director to Vetrimaaran. The film will be produced by Vetrimaaran’s home banner, Grass Root Films, and shooting is scheduled to begin next month. However, further information regarding the project will be revealed soon.

Well, this isn’t the first time that actress Andrea will be seen playing a gray-shade character. Andrea earlier portrayed a negative character in the 2017 blockbuster film Thupparivalan and was widely praised for her performance. Her portrayal of Chandra in the highly acclaimed film Vada Chennai remains one of her most memorable performances. With the latest information about her role in Kavin’s forthcoming film, fans are anticipating seeing the actress play another memorable negative role as a gangster.

Meanwhile, Andreah Jeremiah’s latest film, Kaa-The Forest, premiered on March 29. It was directed by Nanjil. The film opened to mixed to negative reviews and has been receiving lukewarm responses at the box office. The actress’ upcoming lineup includes No Entry and Pisaasu II, among others.

On the other hand, Kavin will soon be seen in the Tamil romantic drama film Star. Elan wrote and directed the film, which is produced by BVSN Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar under the banners Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Rise East Entertainment.

The film stars Kavin in the titular role, alongside Lal, Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukhundhan and Geetha Kailasam. The film revolves around a youngster and the obstacles he goes through when he tries to become a leading actor.

As per reports, the major portion of the shooting was predominantly shot in Chennai and wrapped by mid-February 2024. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film’s soundtrack, Ezhil Arasu K handled the photography and Pradeep E Ragav did the editing. Star is scheduled to be released worldwide on May 10.
