Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming action thriller, The Greatest of All Time aka The GOAT featuring actor Thalapathy Vijay has been creating a lot of buzz since its announcement. While the film will be released in September this year, makers unveiled a new song that became an instant hit among fans. Now, amid the ongoing IPL season, Vijay who is a fan of Chennai Super Kings, paid tribute to MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja with his newly released song Whistle Podu.

Interestingly, the song is inspired by the favourite mantra of the CSK team. The original video features Thalapathy Vijay dancing alongside Prabhudeva, Prashanth and Ajmal Ameer.

While the song has created quite a frenzy among fans, the South star has now shared another video featuring none other than the former CSK captain MS Dhoni along with Ravindra Jadeja who is presently being dubbed as the ‘Thalapathy’ following his exceptional performance in CSK’s commanding win over KKR.

While MS Dhoni is lovingly referred to as ‘Thala’, Jadeja’s match-winning performance got him the title he had been waiting for—’Cricket Thalapthy’ of CSK.

The specially curated video clip includes several remarkable games by the IPL team, majorly focusing on MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja. The video also includes a few clips showcasing the fan craze for CSK. Vijay added the recently released song Whistle Podu, perfectly blending with the mood of the video.

“Vibe of the day: #WhistlePodu,” he wrote on Instagram.

Talking about the original song, the 5-minute video pays homage to director Venkat Prabhu’s previous films. Along with some behind-the-scenes footage from the song’s making and the terrific trio of Vijay, Prashanth and Prabhudeva shaking a leg to the energetic music, the song is a complete hit package.
