Emily Blunt confessed feeling sick after locking lips with some of her co-stars, but praised Robert Downey Jr, Tom Cruise, Matt Damon and Cillian Murphy.

Emily Blunt spoke about her on-screen kisses with several Hollywood heartthrobs like Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon and most recently, Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy. A Quiet Place star confessed that she felt sick after locking lips with some of her co-stars. During an interview on the Howard Stern Show, Blunt admitted that she sometimes feels like throwing up after kissing certain actors.

However, the actress revealed that she has mastered the art of creating chemistry with co-stars with whom she isn’t attracted to. While Blunt remained tight-lipped about the actors she didn’t enjoy kissing, she praised Dwayne Johnson, Robert Downey Jr, Tom Cruise, Damon and Murphy, by calling them great friends. She also assured fans that her on-screen romance with Gosling in The Fall Guy was authentic.

The Mary Poppins actress explained, “I wouldn’t say its extreme loathing, but I’ve definitely not enjoyed some of it. I think my feeling is I’ve got to find something I love about everybody. I have to find something, even if it’s one thing. It might be like they have a nice laugh or I like how they speak to people, they’re polite. I mean, it might be something random. But find something you love about that person or something you love about them as the character and then kind of lean into that.”

“I have had chemistry with people, I have not had a good time working with them. Chemistry is this strange thing. It’s an ethereal thing that you can’t really bottle up and buy or sell. It’s there or it’s not. And you can manufacture it. I’ve been doing this long enough. I could have chemistry with this water bottle at this point. You know how to conjure it. But it’s just easier when you have a natural rapport with someone,” Emily Blunt added.

Blunt further shared that she was once determined to avoid explicit sex scenes and spoke about her experience in the romantic film Salmon Fishing In Yemen with Ewan McGregor. She appreciated how romance was portrayed in the film and claimed it was different from modern scenes where films often feature intense physical closeness. Blunt admired the slower burning connection between the characters and sensationalizing them.

When discussing about her The Fall Guy co-star Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt admired his family, including his wife, Eva Mendes and their children. She considers herself fortunate to be friends with a genuinely wonderful person.
