Directed as well as written by Venkat Prabhu, the 2011 film Mankatha stars Ajith Kumar.

Thalapathy Vijay’s 2000s superhit Ghilli was re-released recently, opening to a tremendous reaction from the audience and the fans. The film was released 10 days ago and is still raking in a good audience as well as record box-office collections. As per the latest reports, producers are set to re-release several Tamil cinema’s classic hits in the coming weeks. Check out all the details, here.

Mankatha

Directed as well as written by Venkat Prabhu, the 2011 film stars Ajith Kumar as the lead. The film is set to have its re-release on May 11, on the star’s birthday. The rest of the cast of the film includes Arjun, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Anjali and more. It is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri and Vivek Rathnavel under the banner of Cloud Nine Movies.

Billa

One of Ajith Kumar’s blockbuster projects, the 2007 film is set to re-release on the actor’s birthday, May 11, making it his second re-release on the same day. It is directed by Vishnuvardhan and also stars Prabhu, Rahman and Nayanthara. The producers of the film are L Suresh and Abdurrahman M, which is made under the banner of Ananda Picture Circuit.

Kushi

Actor Vijay’s second re-release this year, Kushi is set to come to cinemas on May 19. The film is directed by S J Suryah, starring Vijay and Jyotika as the lead. The film also stars Vijayakumar, Shilpa Shetty, Mumtaj and more. It is produced by A M Rathnam under the banner of Sri Surya Movies. It was earlier released in 2000.

Indian

Kamal Haasan’s Indian is going to be re-released on May 30. It is made under the direction of S Shankar, starring Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar as the female leads, along with Sukanya, Manorama, Goundamani and Senthil. It was originally released in 1996, and made under the production of Sri Surya Movies.

As per reports, the romantic film 7G Rainbow Colony, Selvaraghavan directorial is also going to have a re-release, along with Madhavan starrer Run. The latter is directed by N Linguswamy.
