She spoke about the unique challenge of playing a real-life character while portraying Bharati’s status as an educated woman and daughter of doctors. Watching footage of Bharati and the information she received from the cast and crew helped her prepare for the role.

Ketaki was instructed by Mahi to play the role to the best of her ability and take responsibility for her. Ketaki stressed on the need to capture Bharati’s calm demeanour despite her vivacious appearance. Thinking back to a particular scene, she remembered Mahi telling her to fully commit to the role and play a crucial sequence.
