It has been over three decades since the popular Malayalam star Mohanlal and his wife Suchitra got married. Recently, Mohanlal and Suchitra completed 36 years of their marital bliss. The dedicated husband surprised his wife with beautiful flowers. He even shared a set of heartwarming pictures on Instagram. The pictures shared by Mohanlal captured the couple immersed in love and joy as they posed for a photo. Another picture showcased the actor and his wife indulging in a conversation with Suchitra whispering in her husband’s ears.

Mohanlal accompanied the pictures with a cute anniversary wish for his wife. He wrote, “Happy Anniversary, my love! Cheers to many more years of love and happiness.”

Mohanlal and Suchitra tied the nuptial knot in 1988 after dating for a few years. The lavish wedding was attended by many A-listers of the Indian film industry who arrived to shower the couple with blessings and love. The couple is blessed with two children – Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya Mohanlal. While Pranav has also stepped into the acting industry, Vismaya is currently working as an assistant film director and writer.

In a rare interaction at the launch of Mohanlal’s first directorial venture Barroz, Suchitra gave us a sneak peek into her initial days with Mohanlal. Taking a trip down memory lane, she shared, “When I saw him in the first movie ‘Manjil Virinja Pookkal’, I hated him. I used to hate him whenever he featured the role of a villain. But I knew that I disliked him because he was so perfect at his job. After watching ‘Ente Mammattikuttiyammakku’, I started to like him. Slowly, I fell in love with him and we got married. Today, he is my favourite actor.”

Next up for Mohanlal is Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming directorial L2E: Empuraan. Helmed by Prithviraj, the film is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster film ‘Lucifer’. It was officially announced in August 2022. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, L2E: Empuraan will be released in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Meanwhile, the release date for the film has not been confirmed yet.
