Taylor Swift has created a new record since releasing her 11th studio album. The Tortured Poets Department sold 2.61 million streaming units in the United States during its first week of release, according to Billboard. To mark the milestone, Taylor Swift expressed her gratitude towards her fans for the incredible response to her latest album. She thanked followers through her social media handle and expressed her excitement for her next Eras Tour show in Paris.

Taylor Swift posted a series of pictures surrounding her latest album and wrote, “My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album. 2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed. I was already so fired up to get back to the tour but you doing THIS?? May 9th can’t come soon enough.” The post featured several pictures of the singer while she recorded the album.

Reportedly, the streaming milestones for the new album are as impressive, with it breaking all-time records on the major music streaming services Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music. Last week, Spotify announced that Tortured Poets Department was its most-streamed album in a single week, with over 1 billion streams.

The album, distributed by Universal Music Group, received largely positive feedback from critics and fans. Taylor Swift published the first 16 tracks of the album on April 19, followed by the 15-track “Anthology” two hours later as a surprise for fans.

On the other hand, Taylor Swift will restart her Eras Tour, the most successful concert tour in history, in Paris this May. There are several shows lined up in the city from May 9 To May 12 at the Paris La Defense Arena. The singer will visit many European nations following Paris, including Sweden, Spain, and Portugal, before concluding her tour in London in August.

Meanwhile, amid the success of her album, the singer was seen out on dinner with Travis Kelce in Los Angeles. Reportedly, Taylor Swift referred to her relationship with Travis Kelce in songs such as The Alchemy and So High School in The Tortured Poets Department.
