Meera Deosthale is a well-known face in Hindi TV.

Meera left the famous TV serial Udaan in 2019, after starring in it for three and a half years.

Actress Meera Deosthale primarily works in Hindi television. She is best known for her role as Chakor Singh Rajvanshi in Udaan, for which she won a Gold Award. She is also known for her roles as Paridhi Khurana Shergill in Gud Se Meetha Ishq and Nandini Ratansi in Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai. From 2016 to 2019, Meera Deosthale played Chakor Singh Rajvanshi opposite Vijayendra Kumeria in Udaan. The series proved to be a turning point in her career and earned her a Gold Award. Despite the fame she enjoyed from the role of Chakor, Meera left Udaan in 2019, after starring in it for three and a half years. After Meera’s exit, she was replaced by Toral Rasputra. Not only this, she took a 2-year-long break from acting after the pandemic. “It wasn’t my choice at all. I actually did not anticipate that it would take so long for me to come back on TV,” she said in an earlier interview. She blamed it all on the pandemic and on the lack of good projects.

In an earlier interview, Meera revealed why she left Udaan after being part of the show for many years. “Sometimes a show needs a certain kind of freshness to move forward. And sometimes you realise that a post ends at a certain point. Three and a half years is a long time, it’s not a small thing,” she said.

Revealing the real reason behind her exit, Meera added, “At 22, I played a baby’s mother and then an eight-year-old’s mother and I liked that. But the makers wanted to bring a jump in the show and they wanted to bring a 22-year-old daughter. So I was the same age and I realised it didn’t suit my age. It wasn’t a case of ‘Oh, I don’t want to play a mother on-screen’. I was happy playing a mother. But it won’t suit my age. At that age, the skin is fresh and no matter how much makeup you put on, it doesn’t look authentic. So I decided to explore more options and I moved out.”

From 2019 to 2020, she played Vidya Singh in Vidya, opposite Namish Taneja. The series was abruptly stopped in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2022, she played Paridhi Khurana in Gud Se Meetha Ishq, opposite Arhaan Behll. In the same year, she played Sweety, opposite Sharad Malhotra, in her web debut Ratri Ke Yatri 2. Now, Meera Deosthale is playing the female lead in Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai, opposite Zaan Khan.

Meera made her acting debut with Sasural Simar Ka, where she played Priya Malik at the age of 18. In 2015, she first played Riya in Zindagi Wins and then appeared as Eshwari Thakur in Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls.
