South superstar Kamal Haasan is ready to set the screen on fire with his upcoming film, Indian 2. Last month, he revealed in an interview that its filming is complete. Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 cult classic film, Indian. It was a vigilante thriller film that dealt with sensitive issues like corruption. Kamal Haasan is set to bring back the character from the original film, Senapathy. Both the films have been directed by S Shankar. Now, we have some good news for Kamal Haasan fans, who have been eagerly waiting for more updates on Indian 2. Recently, the film’s production house – Lyca Productions – shared a new poster of the film, and revealed its release window as well.

The new posters shared multiple languages. In regional languages, the film was titled as Indian 2. The film will be titled Hindustani 2 and Bharateeyudu 2 respectively in its Hindi and Telugu version. The post’s caption read: “Senapathy is all set to resurrect with zero tolerance in INDIAN-2. Gear up for the epic sequel in cinemas from June 2024. Consider it a red alert wherever injustice prevails. (red alert emoji) Indian 2.”

Kamal Haasan can be seen donning interesting avatars in the posters. Both his looks seem to depict an aged person. One of his avatars is donning a white suit, while another one can be seen wearing a Azad Hind Fauj uniform. Indian 2 posters were shared on the occasion of Puthandu, Tamil New Year.

The film garnered limelight since it was announced in 2018. The first phase of shooting started in 2019. Various reasons like overshooting of budget, tragic accident on set that led to a crew member’s death, led to Indian 2’ delay. The Covid-19 pandemic further caused the shooting’s delay.

Indian 2 consists of a huge cast including Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, and Priya Bhavani Shankar.
