Gunshots were fired at Salman Khan’s house, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai on Sunday morning. Fortunately, Salman and his family are safe and sound while the security around the house has been tightened. The iconic apartments situated along the shores of the Arabian Sea in Bandra has been Salman’s residence for years now. Fans often gather outside his home to catch a glimpse of their favourite superstar. Although Salman could have moved out of the apartment and into a bigger space, he had once revealed he still lived in the family home because of his mother, Salma Khan.

Appearing on Farah Khan’s chat show, Tere Mere Beech Mein, in 2009, Farah spilled the beans on his home and Salman confirmed that she was right. “You are the world’s superstar and you earn like crores but you are living in the one-bedroom-hall just because it is situated below your mom’s house. “Yes. Actually, it is a three-bedroom hall but I don’t know how it became into a one-bedroom-hall,” he confessed.

“Do you have security feeling that you are close to your mom,” Farah asked, to which Salman admitted, “When we go up, we go lay down next to mom and dad.”

During the same episode, Salma opened up about fans gathering outside the apartment and the family’s reaction to it. She said that Police officers would often request her to ask Salman to greet fans, even if it was for a brief moment, to dismiss the crowd that was affecting the traffic situation. Salim Khan, on the other hand, discouraged the act because he believed if you often greet fans in such a way, they would keep coming back for more.

About Firing Outside Salman Khan’s House:

CNN News18 had reported that two people riding a bike fired gun shots outside his apartment on Sunday morning. It was reported that three shots were fired in the air. Following the incident, the security around Salman’s house has tightened. A case has been registered against the unknown individuals in connection to the firing. Police sources said a 7.62 weapon was used in the firing.

The bikers headed to the Western Express Highway, sources said, adding that there is a possibility that the men would have moved outside Mumbai. Police sources added that the shooters are from outside Maharashtra. Mumbai Police have initiated efforts to nab the culprits by examining CCTV footage. It has also been reported that a bullet was found in his balcony.
